Getting online and start communicate with your friends or searching new friends in yahoo is really fun. With Yahoo Messeger you can do a lot of things such as chatting, webcam chat, voice chat, photo sharing, express your avatar, weather forecast, pc-to-pc or phone call, and many more.

For a beginner or a new user in Yahoo Instant Messenger it's probably have difficulties to add their friends to his/her own Yahoo ID private contact list.

The first thing that you have to know are :
a. You can only add yahoo user id, not hotmail, msn, google, etc.
b. Make sure the yahoo id spell is right and exist
c. Add only your friends or someone that you know since they can reject your request if it's annoying for them.
d. If your friend don't have any yahoo id you can invite from "add contact" function

So if you are ready now we begin the adding friend guide :
1. Click at the add contact button (+) on the ym toolbar or you can use "contacts" menu and then choose "add contact".
2. Enter your friends' Yahoo ID
3. Then just click next to skip the grouping the yahoo id configuration.
4. Ta Da, you are done adding your friend to your Yahoo Messenger contact list. Then click finish.
